Paleo Banana Ice Cream

who doesn’t like ice cream?  i haven’t had any in quite some time and a girl needs ice cream plain and simple.  enter the banana.

banana ice cream

- 1 1/2 med bananas

peel and cut into medallions.  freeze for several hours.  blend in a food processor or blender.  transfer to freezable container and freeze for a few more hours.  serve.

almond butter banana ice cream

- 1 1/2 med bananas

- 3 tablespoons almond butter

- 2 teaspoons honey

peel and cut into medallions.  freeze for several hours.  blend in a food processor or blender.  now blend in almond butter and honey.  transfer to freezable container and freeze for a few more hours.  serve.

dark chocolate banana ice cream

- 1 1/2 med bananas

- 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

- 2 tablespoons coconut milk

- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

peel and cut into medallions.  freeze for several hours.  blend in a food processor or blender.  now blend in cocoa powder, coconut milk and vanilla.  transfer to freezable container and freeze for a few more hours.  serve.

taken from here…there are other flavors to so check them out.  substitute cream for coconut milk or another non dairy substitute.

    My husband and I are new to Crossfit and Paleo. He has a dairy allergy and he is crazy about this recipe. He loves rocky road so I modified the chocolate recipe by adding honey, pecans and paleo chocolate chips!! Awesome! Thank you:))
